At WDS Camp 2016, Brad Williams brought his Raspberry Pi 3. Installed on it was a copy of RetroPie. I had heard about Raspberry Pi before. I wasn't completely sold on the idea. Once, I almost won a Pi during a WordCamp event. After playing the original Super Mario Bros for hours on end, I decided to order one of my own. It took me a few months to fully break down and order a Raspberry Pi 3 starter kit by Canakit, through Amazon. I did a lot of research. Countless numbers of Google Searches and … [Read more...] about How to install RetroPie on Raspberry Pi 3 in less than 20 minutes.
Halloween is my favorite holiday. It's close to my Birthday and a free day off work in Nevada. My second favorite holiday? Cinco de Mayo. The locals call it the 5th of May. It's also the day I was offered an actual WordPress position at WebDevStudios.com. If you have read any of my post on becoming a better role model, you know this was the missing piece of the puzzle. Working for a widely known WordPress Dev Shop opens doors for you. It also teaches you about life. I had no idea it was going to … [Read more...] about WEBDEVSTUDIOS Camp (WDSCAMP) 2016
In a previous post about becoming a better role model, I mention the ways that I've taken to become the best role model I can be for the Vegas WordPress Meetup Group. Am I going to install 400 plugins to make the homepage work? Do I have to buy a plugin, that the developer … [Read more...] about Your WordPress theme demonstration lacks many selling points.

How about the Super Specific WordPress Themes that are built for Lawn Services, Lawyers that never win lawsuits, and Pest & Rodent removal companies specifically? Why would a theme be built specifically for those three types of business categories and not other categories? I'm telling you that the Super Specific WordPress Themes are … [Read more...] about What’s the deal with Super Specific WordPress Themes?
I've always wondered if I am using the full potential of my WordPress Contact Forms. The answer is that you never can really know. First you have to decide to use a contact form plugin. I use Gravity Forms. Next, you have to style your forms. That's where a plugin like Gravity Styles comes in. Then you wait. You wait patiently for visitors to come to your site and use your forms. After a while, you start to check the, very limited, entries table inside of your contact forms plugins. You can see … [Read more...] about FormWorks: Analytics for your WordPress contact forms

A couple days ago, there was a brand new user interface released to the world that you can download on any Apple or Mac computer. This is a single user interface that … [Read more...] about Use the Jetpack plugin for WordPress. I’ve told you.
