The first time I heard Memphis May Fire Carry On (MMF), I was having a bad day. Long story short, Mercury was in retrograde. I opened up chrome and there was new music from MMF. I clicked the video and I had no idea what it was going to sound like. I never know with Matty Mullens. He’s the lead singer and he’s pretty good at switching his sounds up to stay relevant. Shortly after the song was over, I knew they write another great record.
Their new record comes out on the 28th of October, 2016. It’s called This light I hold. I’m super excited to hear new music. It’s been a while actually. I used to keep up with all my favorite bands and when their new records were released. Since a certain website went down, I’ve had a hard time keeping up. It really bites. I would discover all kinds of new music. Now, I’m stuck to looping my iPod over and over again. Technology man, it can be awesome / suck at the same time.
